Stepconfigurator values the protection of your personal data. This privacy policy explains what data we process, why, and for how long.

Stepconfigurator is a trade name of Verhalen Van, established at Burg. Jhr. Quarles van Uffordlaan 207, 7321 ZP Apeldoorn, the Netherlands. ## Which data we process
When you contact us or place a request, we process the following data:
– Your name and email address
– Your business name and domain name
– Your billing details when making a purchase (address, VAT number where applicable)
– The content of your message
## Why we use this data
We use your data exclusively to:
– Answer your question or request
– Deliver and install the plugin
– Generate a license key for your domain
– Send and administer invoices
– Provide support during your license period
## Legal basis for processing
We process your personal data based on the performance of the agreement you enter into with us (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR) and on legal obligations such as the fiscal retention requirement (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR).
## License system
The Stepconfigurator plugin uses a domain-bound license key. On your own WordPress installation only your domain and license key are stored. We do not collect data on visitors of your webshop.
## How long we retain your data
We retain your data no longer than necessary:
– Contact messages without follow-up: 12 months
– Customer data and invoices: 7 years (legal retention period)
– License data: as long as your license is active plus 12 months
## With whom we share your data
We do not share your data with third parties for commercial purposes. For the execution of our services we may share data with:
– Our hosting provider for running the website and related systems
– Our administrative office or accounting software for financial administration
– Payment service providers such as Mollie or a bank, for processing payments
We have data processing agreements with these parties or they are independent controllers under applicable law. We do not share data with parties outside the European Economic Area.
## Cookies
This website does not use tracking cookies. We only place functional cookies that are necessary for the correct operation of the website.
## Your rights
You have the right to access, correct or delete your data. You can also object to processing and have the right to data portability. Send an email to info@stepconfigurator.com. We respond within four weeks.
## Complaints
If you have a complaint about the processing of your data, please contact us first. If we cannot reach a resolution, you may file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) via autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.
## Applicable law
Dutch law applies to this privacy policy. In case of any conflict between the Dutch and English version, the Dutch version prevails.
## Changes
We may update this privacy policy. The most current version is always on this page with the date of last modification at the top.
